    Project Overview

3D Aluminium carried out this public sector refurbishment project working directly for Westridge Construction on behalf of Brighton and Hove City Council.

3D Aluminium have carried out the supply and installation of replacement Aluminium Curtain Walling and Glazing to Brighton and Hove City Council Offices.

The scheme is part of a £10m project to improve the thermal efficiency of the Council offices, by replacing the external glass façade, installation of new roof glazing and photovoltaic panels; alongside a new heating and ventilation system to further improve efficiency.

As part of the planning approval, 3D Aluminium were required to maintain the existing appearance of the framing and glazing throughout, whilst improving to meet current building regulations. 3D Aluminium utilized the Comar 6 EFT curtain walling system to modernize the existing glazing, yet at the same time match the existing sight lines and provide energy efficient double glazed units throughout. Framing was fabricated using silver anodized aluminium extrusions to extend the life line of the building and protect against corrosion due to the close proximity of the offices from the sea front.
