    Project Overview

3D Aluminium have completed the installation of replacement aluminium windows and doors to Milton Keynes TVP Police Station in Buckinghamshire.

The installation was carried out in an occupied police station, which required very precise planning and co-ordination with all parties to ensure the strict programme was met. As replacement works were carried out to the entire station, it also meant that our operatives would have to enter extremely sensitive areas, all staff went through a stringent vetting process to allow the works to be carried out.

To ensure the new windows were in keeping with the existing designs, the replacement windows were designed with a different colour coupling mullion to the window frames which was done to match existing sightlines and for contrast.

3D was responsible for providing all forms of access and carried out the installation through the use of MEWPs (Mobile Elevated Working Platforms) to ensure safe working practices.

The success of delivering this scheme within budget and on time has led to 3D Aluminium securing further work for and on behalf of Thames Valley Police.
