    Project Overview

3D Aluminium have completed the installation of Sapa Aluminium Building Systems products to a new private dwelling in Downley, Buckinghamshire.

3D Aluminium carried out the design, fabrication and installation of Sapa Dualframe 75 Si aluminium windows and C160 Lift-Slide doors to a new build property in Buckinghamshire.

Design included providing glazing for guarding to comply with building regulations approved document K – ‘Protection from falling, collision and impact’. 3D Aluminium also installed glass to glass corner windows, which involved stepped double glazed units to provide a flush finish.

3D Aluminium installed several Sapa C160 Lift-slide doorsets to the property, the C160 is a high performance, thermally insulated aluminium door system with a user friendly slide action.

The system, with an attractive aesthetic line, is durable, stable and remarkably energy efficient. With a maximum vent weight of up to 400kg, large glazed areas are easily achievable.

The C160 was designed to offer high end aluminium sliding doors with large glass surfaces and heavy glass loads with minimal sightlines. C160 profiles are coupled with 40mm omega shaped, glass fibre reinforced polyamide strips, which reduce thermal conduction. It is also possible in this system to gradually enhance thermal values with the application of thermal inserts.
