This project marked a significant milestone as it was the first project to incorporate Technal’s latest window innovation — the Soleal Next FZ75 window system. Designed with both performance and versatility in mind, this advanced system offers clients, architects, and consultants an extensive range of window solutions, delivering enhanced thermal efficiency, superior acoustic insulation, and improved weather resistance.

A key feature of the system is its sustainable design. The aluminium profiles are extruded using Hydro Circal alloy, which contains a minimum of 75% recycled end-of-life aluminium. In practical terms, this means the material has been repurposed from old windows and doors, significantly reducing environmental impact. Even the thermal break within the system is manufactured using recycled materials, reinforcing the project’s commitment to sustainability.

The façade combines both performance and aesthetics, incorporating a mix of opening top-hung windows, fixed lights, and aluminium composite panels. Solar control glass was installed throughout, helping to regulate internal temperatures and improve occupant comfort. Complementing the glazing, the entrance systems utilised Technal Stormframe II Thermally Broken Commercial Doors, while the curtain walling was delivered using the Technal MX52 system — ensuring a cohesive, high-performance building envelope.

Despite early challenges including unexpected asbestos discovered on site that required careful removal, the developer successfully delivered the project on schedule. Through close collaboration with the main contractor, our team ensured a smooth installation process, completing the works efficiently and without significant disruption.

The completed business park features 12 modern, energy-efficient units of varying sizes, each with mezzanine floors to maximise usable space. Designed with flexibility in mind, the units can accommodate a wide range of uses, from light industrial operations to storage and distribution.
