Charity Footgolf Winners!
3D Aluminium entered two teams into a local Charity Footgolf competition at Heythrop Park, Chipping Norton.
Both teams included a mixture of office and factory staff, including Managing Director, Barry Matthews. Fielding a team of novices at the sport of Footgolf, where players aim to get around a 9-hole golf course with oversized holes in the least amount of shots, 3D managed to finish in 1st place out of the 20 teams entering from local businesses.
To cap the day off, 3D Estimator, Chris Edwards, also won the closest-to-the-pin challenge by getting a hole in one!
The event was organised by Business Communications Solutions company STL, who supply telecommunications solutions to 3D Aluminium including VoIP handsets and mobiles.
All profits from the event and raffle went to SpecialEffect, a charity that aims to put fun and inclusion back into the lives of people with physical disabilities by helping them to play video games. SpecialEffect use technology ranging from modified joypads to eye-control, to find a way for people to play to the best of their abilities.
