Phase One Works At Royal Berkshire Hospital.
3D Aluminium have carried out the installation of Phase 1 replacement windows and cladding works to the Pathology Department at the Royal Berkshire Hospital, Reading.
Following a closed tender process, 3D were successfully awarded the £90k project based on their proposed accelerated programme which has enabled the client to commence their internal lab refit, at which point 3D will return to carry out Phase 2.
The existing single glazed screens were removed and replaced with thermally broken Comar Aluminium Comar 9Pi Ladder framing with integrated 7Pi CD doors. Comar 9Pi High Performance Window, Doors and Framing, offers a truly integrated solution with low U-values and fast-track fabrication & installation.
The Royal Berkshire Hospital was opened in 1839, on land donated by former Prime Minister, Henry Addington. King William IV took a keen interest in the hospital before it was built, and consequently his arms appear on the central pediment.
